71-year-old woman lives in her car, then neighbors discover shocking reason

A 71-year-old woman lives in her car in front of her own house instead of living in it. A neighbor found out why she couldn’t go inside and knew he had to intervene.

Justin Hernandez moved into a new house about a month ago.

He noticed that one of his neighbors had slept in their car. Hernandez learned why, and it broke his heart.

“I think if that was my nana or my mom I wouldn’t want her to live like that so I had to do something to help her get back into her home.”

The interior of the woman’s home was uninhabitable. Her husband had died a few years ago and she just couldn’t keep up.

Hernandez decided he had to do something and created a Facebook page called Paying It Forward. The site started to get some attention and eventually people started sending money and others just showed up to help clean up.

The 71-year-old woman said: “I don’t know what I would do without people like that. What the world would do without people like her. There are very few.”

Hernandez and the volunteers know it won’t be a quick and easy project, but they will bring the woman back to her home.
