6-year-old boy killed in Bronx hearth, father critically injured: Police

The 2-alarm hearth was reported round 5 p.m. on East one hundred and thirty fifth Avenue.
Heavy smoke was noticed coming from a trash compactor and pushed smoke by the higher flooring.
Police say a 32-year-old man and the 6-year-old boy had been discovered unconscious in a hallway.
Authorities say the kid suffered extreme smoke inhalation and was pronounced lifeless at Harlem Hospital.
The 32-year-old, the kid’s father, was taken to the identical hospital in crucial situation.
Eight different civilians had been taken to space hospitals with non-life-threatening accidents and two firefighters had been taken to the hospital with minor accidents.
The investigation into the hearth is ongoing.
