Outer bands arguably one of Netflix’s best original series, and there’s no denying it. However, one of the main reasons the teen series is loved is because of its strong female characters. Most of the characters are likable, but there’s just something about the female characters on the show that you should go back to for more. They’re hard in their own right and it’s really engaging and inspiring to watch.

The female characters in Outer bands well written and more focused on the plot. This doesn’t usually happen, so it’s refreshing to watch. They don’t play the second male lead. They are ferocious, independent, and far from the bastards. While they may sometimes find themselves in need of help, their resourcefulness often gets them out of difficult situations. They can come back after difficult moments with ease. But they realize that they can’t do it all on their own. They are not afraid to rely on those closest to them (male or female) to attract power.

Many female characters show a careless attitude and refuse to remain silent in the face of abuse of power. But there are some female characters in teen series that aren’t necessarily good boys. However, their determination to see their desires and goals manifest makes them strong. Some have a lot of negative traits, but you can’t say they aren’t conscientious.

When we celebrate Women’s History Month at Netflix Life, I wanted to share some of the most amazing female characters in Outer bands immediately steal the program when displayed on the screen.

The female characters on my list are strong, complex individuals. While some don’t get much screentime, they still manage to make an impact on viewers. There is even a character on the list that I believe she will soon have a chance to shine in the near future third season.

Outer Banks Best Female Character: Sarah Cameron

We are introduced to Sarah Cameron as Princess Kook from a rich background. Everything has been delivered to her on a silver platter by her father (Ward) who is a wealthy businessman. However, those are just surface-level things. We quickly discovered that Sarah was much more than seeing. She wants more for her life. She doesn’t know what exactly, but she knows she doesn’t want to be what her father wants her to be.

Sarah is her own person. She has her own goals and desires but is ready to help those she loves. She is caring, loyal and selfless. Despite having a close relationship with her father, Sarah has the ability and courage to stand up and fight for what is right. She has her own difficulties and shortcomings and makes mistakes, but she tries to learn from them. All these traits make Sarah Cameron one of the best female characters in teen series.
