How did 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather beef start?
The feud between 50 Cent and Mayweather started about a decade ago and is about money.
It caused a long back and forth between the stars.
As reported by ESPN, Mayweather served two months in prison in 2012 after being sentenced to three months “in a domestic battery case.”
As the publication also noted, he was released from Las Vegas prison on August 3, 2012.


According to The Mirror, 50 Cent – real name Curtis James Jackson III – said he was tasked with kickstarting Mayweather’s advertising firm The Money Team while the retired boxer sat behind bars.
As the outlet also noted, Jackson said he’s done a good job with the company and started signing boxers for the deal. However, when Mayweather was released from prison, Jackson said he never got the $2 million owed to him.

Jackson infamously claimed that Mayweather’s funds were dwindling.
In February 2020, the rapper denied Mayweather’s immense wealth in an interview on radio station Hot 97.

On July 27, 2020, Mayweather spoke about the drama on the Champside podcast.
When asked about the feud, the former boxer replied:
“You can’t hang out with me every day for years and suddenly when I don’t give you half of my company, now it’s like, ‘Oh, you’re stupid and you’re stupid and you can’t do this, and you can’t do that. ‘”

As of 2022, the decades-long beef between the two men has been resolved.
On August 15, 2022, 50 Cent went to The Breakfast Club and announced that the feud was over.
Jackson said, “I visited him while I was in Vegas, around my birthday.”
He later revealed the two had apologized to each other and that Mayweather had asked the rapper, “Why did it take you so long?”
