Netflix anime like Demon Slayer

Without further ado, here are five Netflix anime-like Demon Hunter to check out while you wait for Season 2!

B: The Beginning (2019)

Number of episodes: 18

With a violent serial killer on the loose, talented investigators must think of new ways to find the culprit before more innocent lives are taken. Finding the killer’s last locations and analyzing his behavior are strategies that may not be enough, as there is paranormal activity involving demi-humans going on behind the scenes. But perhaps uncovering the truth behind these supernatural beings will lead lead investigator Keith Flick to the killers. Perhaps uncovering the truth will lead to Keith’s untimely death. Everything is possible.

The history of B: The beginning is similar to Demon Hunter that the line between humans and otherworldly beings is being blurred. Just like Tanjiro, maybe Keith can find a way to work with these demihumans to achieve his greater goal.

Black Butler (2008)

Number of episodes: 18

Tanjiro and Nezuko’s human-demon bond may be strong, but it’s safe to say that the human-demon contract between Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis is just as strong, if not stronger. Ciel and Sebastian are the protagonists of the 2008 series, Black Butler, and precisely because of their unconditional solidarity, many anime fans always find their way back to this series. On top of that, this anime is full of epic fights, breakneck drama and even a few spicy…escapades that make this series so much more entertaining.

undoubtedly, Black Butler is an anime classic in the same sense Demon Hunter is. Hopefully you’ll find even more similarities in these shows.

Castlevania (2017)

Number of episodes: 32

Castlevania takes demon slaying to a whole other level!

In this animated series, our protagonist Dracula is determined to wipe out humanity to avenge his late wife. To do this, he unleashes otherworldly demons in every land he touches to sate his eternal rage. His son Alucard is awakened from his long sleep by Sypha Belnades, a sorceress who can control the elements, and Trevor Belmont, a powerful monster hunter, to find a way to defeat the legendary vampire before he takes over the world. Together the trio tries the impossible.

Needless to say, this series is just like that Demon Hunter, that they both have humans fighting demons. However, it’s also just like the Shounen series when it comes to the uplifting notion that no matter how bad things get, people will always find a way to stay hopeful.

Devilman Crybaby (2018)

Number of episodes: 10

Through a series of unfortunate events, a shy boy acquires immense strength akin to that of a devil (or demon). His life is instantly uprooted when others try to put an end to this half-man, half-devil race, but luckily he has his childhood best friend by his side to guide him. This is the story of Devilman crybaby.

Well, this isn’t your typical dark hero story because this anime is filled with betrayal, gore, and every evil imaginable. To be honest it does Demon Hunter look like a peaceful title. Still, if you’ve been looking for a series that involves a war against demons and a show that will glue you to your seat, here it is.

Dragon Dogma (2020)

Number of episodes: 7

In many ways, Tanjiro Kamado is the chosen one; the only person who can truly put an end to the chaos and bloodshed between humans and demons. The same attributes apply to Dragon’s DomaArisen protagonist.

After losing both his wife and unborn child to an evil dragon, Arisen vows to kill the monster, even if it costs him his life. He is accompanied by a warrior, Hannah, who helps him on his journey by fighting at his side and offering moral support. But Arisen and Hannah need more than just energy. They also need wisdom, luck, and most importantly, perseverance, as the many demons and beasts they must fight to get to the evil dragon are far more than they could ever have imagined.

Perhaps Arisen and Tanjiro are one and the same. Perhaps streaming each episode will tell you if our comparison was accurate.

Whether you are familiar with these anime titles or if this is the first time you are hearing about them, we hope you will decide to stream all these wonderful Netflix titles whenever you get the chance. They will be sure to keep you company while you wait for us to let you know when Demon Hunter Season 2 is finally on the way.
