5 biggest names ever traded by teams

The road leading to IPL Auction is the most exciting part of the blockbuster tournament building process. All in all, fans see a lot of deals between franchises before the auction.
NS BCCI creates a special trading window for all teams where they can trade their players for cricketers from other teams or increase their wallet value.
Over the years, fans have seen a number of dream deals in IPL history. Some supported the teams, while others were moved to stand in their way.
Since the 2022 IPL Auction will be a big one, it is unlikely that we will see any deals this year. In this article, we look at the five biggest names that have run their franchises in the past.
#1 Ravichandran Ashwin, IPL 2020
Star Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin captained Punjab Kings in 2018 and 2019. However, ahead of IPL 2020, the Mohali-based franchise removed their captain in the commercial window to increase their auction purse.
Ashwin’s salary at the time was 7.6 crore yen. Punjab traded him for Delhi Capital and signed Jagadeesha Suchith of DC for 20 lakh yen. The balance has been added to their auction wallet. Ashwin has performed well for DC over the past two seasons.
#2 Trent Boult, IPL 2020
In a rather unexpected decision, Delhi Capital decided to release their kiwi pacer Trent Boult prior to IPL Auction 2020. DC traded Boult to Mumbai Indians and added more coins to their auction wallet.
While Delhi signed Boult for 2.2 crore in 2018, the bowler’s salary quickly rose to 3.2 crore after joining the Mumbai-based franchise.
#3 Ajinkya Rahane, IPL 2020
The capital Delhi has been very active during the IPL 2020 commercial opening. They have completed the deal with Rajasthan Royals, when they signed Indian Inspection deputy captain Ajinkya Rahane and released Mayank Markande and Rahul Tewatia.
Interestingly, DC had previously brought Markande from the Mumbai Indians through trade, but then they moved him to the Royal Family before IPL 2020 started. Rahane’s salary has increased from ₹4 crore to ₹5.25 crore after trading.
#4 Quinton de Kock, IPL 2019
South African star Quinton de Kock was the first player to be traded during the 2019 IPL trading term. Royal Challengers Bangalore traded him for the Mumbai Indians and added ₹2.8 crore to their auction wallet. .
Quinton’s salary remained the same after joining MI, but over the next three years he became an IPL champion twice.
# 5 Shikhar Dhawan, IPL 2019
Shikhar Dhawan was one of the biggest names to switch teams ahead of IPL Auction 2019. The left-handed smasher left Sunrisers Hyderabad and became a member of the Delhi Capitals team.
