Another California city, Santa Ana, started sending $300 payments loaded with a prepaid Visa debit card.

“Around 2,700 cards have been distributed so far, and we plan to either hand out 20,000 cards in person or notify eligible residents by mail to pick them up,” said a Santa Ana official. told The Sun in December.

According to a city statement, those with a poverty rate above the Santa Ana average of 42 percent will be eligible for assistance.

Low-income residents of Seattle, Washington can receive stimulus checks worth up to $3,000 – but the deadline to apply is November 15.

These checks have go out for nearly 9,400 residents.

In addition, thousands of St Louis, Missouri residents were able to claim $500 stimulus check in December.

Applications are currently on hold, however, and the city will notify the public of any potential reopening of the portal in the future.
