EMPLOYEES in Dane County can receive a one-time payment of $1,000 to help offset rising inflation.
The plan was proposed by Dane County Executive Joe Parisi.
County regulators are expected to vote today.
The plan would cost approximately $3 million, and payments would go to full-time and part-time county employees.
According to a Madison Media article, full-time county employees would receive the full $1,000 payment, while part-time employees would receive prorated payments.
In addition, temporary workers would receive payments based on the number of hours worked in the previous six months.
