2nd Generation AirPods Pro Can Receive Charging Directly From iPhone 15

Apple’s newly unveiled AirPods Pro will feature a USB-C charging case that can receive juice directly from an iPhone 15.

Modern USB-C charging is now possible on the second generation AirPods Pro. Like the refresh, the new iPhone 15 series also features the same charging technology. Apple noted that iPhone 15 users can now charge their AirPods Pro charging case with a compatible cable without having to use an adapter. This can also be done on the go and saves the user from having to go without earphones for a day.

The updated AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C have new features including an IP54 dust rating, lossless audio when paired with a Vision Pro, and more. It’s unlikely consumers will be able to purchase the charging case on its own – they’ll have to spend $249 when the product becomes available on September 12th.

Apple also introduced new EarPods with USB-C that work with the iPhone 15 series.
