2022 Child Tax Credit Update – Hundreds of Thousands of Americans Can Now Claim $3,600 in Payments – Check If You Qualify

HUNDREDS of thousands of families can now easily claim up to $3,600 per child in child tax credits.

In partnership with the White House, the US Treasury Department and the Digital Nonprofit Code for America, the GetCTC child tax credit tool was launched last September.

Since then, it is said to have helped around 135,000 households access $500 million worth of tax benefits.

With no tax return required, it was especially helpful for low-income families who need to apply to get the loans.

Starting July 14, the tool became available to residents of Puerto Rico, allowing them to receive full 2021 credits this year.
