2 youths dead, 9 victims injured – CBS Pittsburgh

NORTH SIDE (KDKA) – A deadly mass shooting on Pittsburgh’s North Side killed 2 youths and wounded 9 others.

The gunman is still on the run, police say, after bullets were thrown at a party for underaged people of 200 near an AirBnb property on Suismon Street around 12:30am on Sunday.
UPDATE 8:43 a.m. – The Pittburgh Police Department will hold a news conference on the case at noon. We’ll stream it live here on CBS News Pittsburgh
An investigation found around 50 shots were fired at the property.

Pittsburgh police added that people inside jumped out of windows to escape the violence and sustained additional injuries, including broken bones and lacerations. Shots were also fired outside the property.

A video shared on social media showed people running screaming and several rounds fired.
Shots were still being fired in the area and young people fled when officers arrived at the scene.

The victims turned up at local hospitals, both with the help of medical professionals and privately.
Both youths killed were male, police say, but their identities have not yet been released.

Police completed their investigation into the property around 7 a.m

Windows of cars parked across the street were smashed.
The police are investigating eight different crime scenes.
