CHICAGO – Two tractor-trailer drivers were shot at the scene of the crash in the northwest of the city, according to police.
The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of N. Central. Police said two male tractor-trailer drivers were standing outside their truck when a man in a gray or yellow SUV opened fire, hitting both of them.
A 37-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body. A 38-year-old man was shot in the head, shoulder and torso. These men were self-transported to Community First Hospital and then transferred to other hospitals.
The 37-year-old man is in critical condition. The 38-year-old man is listed in good condition.
No one was detained as Area Five detectives investigated.
