13-year-old boy riding bicycle on Boynton Beach dies trying to stop – CBS Miami

BOYNTON BEACH (CBSMiami) – A 13-year-old dirt bike rider died Sunday during an attempt to stop the vehicle, according to the Boynton Beach Police Department.
“Our hearts go out to the family members of this young man, and they can be confident that we and our law enforcement partners will conduct a thorough series of investigations. Thorough and meticulous about the circumstances of what happened,” Boynton Beach Director Michael Gregory said in the statement.

According to PD Boynton Beach, a police officer saw the boy driving recklessly, which was why the vehicle tried to stop.

In a press release, police said the dirt bike crashed while trying to stop, killing the boy.
The Boynton Beach executive said the officer involved will be placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
