1000 pounds. SISTERS star Tammy Slaton’s brother Chris Combs said she had to “make an effort” to build endurance for walking and maintain her health.
A source told The US Sun exclusively. Chris, 42, was heard discussing Tammy’s weight loss progress with his sister Amy Slaton, 35, and half-sister Amanda Halterman, 42.
Chris, Amanda and Amy spoke out about Tammy’s health condition before Amy’s court hearing in a bid to drop her domestic abuse claims against her ex Michael Halterman, 40.
Despite the grave circumstances of their meeting, the group maintained a light banter, cracking jokes and chatting about their favorite candy bars.
However, Chris changed the topic of conversation when addressing Tammy’s health journey.
Since completing her 14-month stint at a weight-loss rehab last winter, Tammy has been working on walking and standing longer distances.


Chris said, “Tammy needs to start trying harder.”
He added: “She should start seeing a physical therapist.
“She just needs to start building up her endurance[walking],” urged Tammy’s brother.
The 1000 pound. The Sisters star has made some strides on her weight loss journey, but sources have recently reported that she’s falling back into old habits.

A source previously told The US Sun that Tammy has returned to ordering fast food and vaping after splitting from husband Caleb Willingham, 40.
ONE STEP AT A TIME
Earlier this month, The US Sun caught Tammy pausing to catch her breath as she exited a gas station and tried to get to her car seat, which was parked yards from the door.
Tammy struggled to get around without her walker as she had to lean on the front of the car parked at a gas station to catch her breath before stepping off the sidewalk.
She seemed slightly out of breath and had trouble getting off the sidewalk and back into the car seat.
SLIMMER SLATON
Tammy was spotted at the gas station on her way to a Sam’s Club in Indiana, where she stocked up on groceries.
According to an eyewitness, Chris picked Tammy up at her home in Kentucky that same morning, along with an unidentified third person who was sitting in the back seat of the car.
The crew made a few stops along the way, but eventually ended up at a Sam’s Club across the state line.
When Tammy got out of the car to hop on the grocery store’s electric scooter, some fans recognized the 1,000-pound weight. Sisters Star.
Tammy waved back politely and showed off her impressive weight loss while shopping for housewares.
Their haul included toiletries, bottled water, frozen meals and more.
BIG WEIGHT LOSS
The US Sun previously revealed that Tammy weighed just over 400 pounds at the end of her 14-month rehab stint – and was almost half her previous height.
As show fans know, Tammy went back to rehab for a second time in 2021 to get her life back on track.
A friend previously exclusively told The US Sun, “When Tammy first entered rehab, she had to reach her goal weight of about 700lbs to 550lbs to be eligible for her bariatric surgery.”
Bariatric surgery is an operation on the digestive system designed to help a patient lose weight quickly in extreme situations.


In a Season 4 episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters aired on TLC, she reached her goal weight.
As The US Sun first reported, Tammy successfully underwent the life-changing procedure in the summer of 2022 – and the friend claimed she’s lost another 150 pounds since then.
