MARTIN COUNTY, Texas (Nexstar) – According to the Texas DPS, on January 12, three vehicles were involved in a fatal crash that occurred on Highway 349, about 39 miles north of Stanton, TX about 2 :25 am.
Texas DPS reports that a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling north when on State Highway 349 it veered into the opposite lane and collided with a 2021 Freightliner truck trailer. a 2020 Chrysler crashes into a 2016 Ford F-150.
The driver of the 2016 Ford F-150 pickup truck, Ian Smith, 39, of Lubbock, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the 2021 Freightliner truck trailer is in stable condition and receiving care at Midland Memorial, and the driver of the 2020 Chrysler is in critical condition being cared for at Midland Memorial.
